LOCATION

Finding Counihans Bar is easy. If you are in the centre of Cork city you are at most 5 minutes from our premises. We are right beside the General Post Office, (known locally as the GPO). Cork's main street is Patrick's Street.

So, if you are on this street you can probably hear the music or the banter. That's Counihans - or rather our regulars. Otherwise you'll find the bar by cutting through the pedestrianised Winthrop Street (past Brown Thomas store), standing at it's end and looking accross Oliver Plunkett Street to the left of the GPO.

However you get here, you'll be at the centre of it all at Counihans.
