LOCATION - Cork city centre.

     Finding Counihans Bar is easy. If you are in the centre of Cork city you are at most 5 minutes from our premises. We are right beside the General Post Office, (known locally as the GPO).  Cork's main street is Patrick's Street. If you are on this you can probably hear the music or the banter. That's Counihans - or rather our regulars. Otherwise you'll find the bar by cutting through the pedestrianised Winthrop Street (past Cash's large store), standing at it's end and looking accross Oliver Plunkett Street to the left of the GPO.
